About the Property

This project was conceived, designed, and constructed without any drawn plans. It was created by our vision, and our passion to exceed our client’s expectations.

We were sought out by this client who had seen our work in Weston. They had a design in-hand and a dream of building a pool with a very simple water feature. After meeting and reviewing their design, we suggested that this site had tremendous potential for the possibility to develop a fantastic waterfall and natural looking swimming pool. The site did however present several challenges. The back yard was very small with a steep slope. In addition, there was major drainage that had to be installed to control significant surface and subsurface water flow from “Ford’s Folly” (a name given to a failed undertaking by Henry Ford who had once owned this property in the early 1930’s).

“I can’t believe the transformation that you performed at my home. Your insight and vision was so far beyond what I even dreamed of; I was astounded. We love to sit by the pool, listening and watching the gorgeous waterfall you built while we take in all the beauty of our backyard. It’s fabulous!”

Both our clients and I were very excited to get the project underway. We laid out our vision for them to see on site and began excavation. Drainage was installed. The pool and waterfall structures were built in gunite. The site was sculpted and large natural stones were set to create this natural water feature. Fencing and irrigation were installed. Specimen plantings from our nursery were installed both in and around the waterfall and pool. Attention to detail in every aspect of the process culminated in the images you see here.
